"Artist Catherine Jeffrey's paintings serve as proof of the beauty one can discover while embracing urban life. The viewer is presented with a visual bombardment of light and movement. In a sense, she captures the hustle and bustle of city life with expressive brushwork -- yet there is an element of introspection just under the surface. This powerful body of work challenges the viewer to pause long enough to enjoy her surroundings."
